Why, WHY, WHY do a song with ol’ 3 Stacks? You know he’s gonna own it and own the conversation around it, and of course, this is no exception. Don’t get me wrong, T.I. is a top-shelf MC, and delivers a very solid pair of verses over the smooth Jazze Pha production. But once Andre jumps in, it almost feels like a different song.
Maybe this should have been a group/posse cut, to at least spread the murder around a bit. Take a listen below and look for Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head to drop on December 18th.

Andre 3000 Jimi Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix is back from the dead … kind of.

Donning an afro and a style straight from the ’60s, OutKast’s Andre 3000 was snapped Monday on set of the upcoming ‘All is By My Side’, a biopic about the legendary guitarist.

Andre 3000 – whose real name is Andre Benjamin – will stray from his rapper past to play the psychedelic rocker. The film is said to be based on Hendrix’s pre-fame years and is due out next year.

(CNN)– André 3000 is set to star in “All Is by My Side,” the long-awaited Jimi Hendrix biopic, according to the Irish Film and Television Network.

IFTN reports that the film is currently in preproduction in Wicklow, Ireland, and that the shoot will last six weeks. Principal photography is expected to start in about three weeks in Dublin and Wicklow.
The film will reportedly explore Hendrix’s early career, tracking his times spent in England in 1966 and 1967 crafting what would become his classic debut album, “Are You Experienced.” John Ridley, writer of 1999′s “Three Kings” and 1997′s “U Turn,” is set to write and direct.

The Jimi Hendrix biopic project has been rumored for a long time. Last summer, reports surfaced that the Experience Hendrix estate stopped the project from going forward. Reports did not offer an explanation on why the film is now set to shoot.
